Slavery at William & Mary Lecture

I gave a lecture on how William & Mary is connected to slavery in a classroom of 50+ students. This was in partnership with Professor Scholnick's Medicine in America course in the American Studies department. For this presentation, I utilized my training as a Spotswood Society member in talking about how the creation of the school is linked to slavery, as well as using unique research.


On a day to day basis, I discuss the role of slavery at W&M during tours of the Christopher Wren Building to guests, and even on special tours for prominent guests like, Queen Elizabeth's cousin, Simon Rhodes, a member of the Royal Company of Archers, The Queen’s Bodyguard in Scotland, as well as his wife, Lady in Waiting Suzie Rhodes, and two prominent members of the Williamsburg community, the Bogus'.
