When the members of Berkeley High School’s class of 1968 gather for their 50th reunion in a few weeks, they expect to share stories and memories, but no regrets.

Berkeley’s class of 1968 was the last segregated high school class to graduate from Williamsburg-James City County Public Schools.

Gregory Ferguson, a Berkeley class of 1968 graduate and an organizer of their June reunion, said he did not believe he missed out on anything by attending an all-black high school. Ferguson said school was like one big family. He built lasting relationships with teachers and students, many of whom he still keeps in touch with today.
